SIPs Industries Australia

SIPs industries Australia takes it’s expertise from our UK division operating for nearly 10 years delivering single residential housing through to highly complex multi story apartment and commercial buildings. We are now in WA and aim to be in production by late April this year based in our Bibra Lake factory.

Structural Insulated Panels or SIP’s are an environmentally friendly highly energy efficient floor, wall and roof systems. SIP’s has been around for some 50 years in various forms throughout the world and is a tried and tested product. Sip’s is now available in Western Australia.

SIP’s provides the ideal platform for delivering 8-10 star rated homes when used with other energy efficient or green products. Sip’s can touch the ground lightly with minimal requirement for any earth works; we can build on existing sloping sites and also in difficult soil conditions.

SIP’s requires minimal labor to erect and there is no waste produced on site. We can achieve lock up with most single storey homes within a working week and can save considerable time and cost in two to three story construction providing a raft of benefits to our stake holders.

Site Eco Management

Construction impact can be kept to a minimum through the use of SIP’s construction. This can be achieved through minimal time spent on site with no waste or need for multiple trades that impacts the site, keeping the surrounding area clean and undamaged.

Energy Management

We look at the energy required to build the home and the amount of energy to operate the home. Sip’s uses farm grown trees that absorbs carbon and requires very little energy to produce and get to site. Through solar passive design principles and with our high energy rating we go a long way to reduce the amount of energy required to make a SIP’s home comfortable all year round. SIP designs can incorporate a number of smart products reducing the energy required to own and operate.

Key products and approach
• Up to 70% smaller air conditioning units due to highly energy efficient SIP’s envelope including floor, walls and roofs
• Air filter exchange unit heating or cooling clean filtered air as it enters the home reducing energy loss
• SIP’s are glued and screwed making it air tight

Water Management

Through the collaborative approach between design, project management, engineering and housing we are able to incorporate best practice water management solutions if required.

When SIP’s floors are used, water management systems can also be placed under the house and out of view saving space and can also be used to control the temperature within the home further reducing the need for burning green house gases.

The bottom line is that we aim to reduce energy required in all our homes and won’t stop until we can achieve our goal of carbon neutral.
